Moto Care Screen Protect Limited Warranty FAQ


Provided you are using both the Motorola case and screen protector that came with your Moto Care bundle throughout your Moto Care Screen Protect (MCSP) bundle coverage period, if either the case or the screen protector fails to protect your smartphone screen from accidental (or incidental) damage during normal use (excluding liquid damage and subject to other coverage restrictions – see below), Motorola will repair or replace the screen at no cost to you.

MCSP coverage is supplementary to the standard manufacturer’s warranty included with the purchase of your Motorola device. MCSP provides an extra layer of protection, to cover screen damage that may fall outside the standard warranty coverage conditions for your device.

The MCSP bundle covers devices purchased and used in the United States only.


MCSP coverage begins upon purchase of the bundle, continuing for two years after registration. Coverage conditions apply**.


Screen damage caused by liquid ingress (water intake) is not covered by MCSP, nor are conditions existing prior to device registration for the bundle. MCSP covers damage occurring under normal-use conditions.

Age-related wear and tear, damage from misuse and unauthorized modification, and other circumstantial deterioration are not considered normal use, and do not qualify your device for MCSP coverage. Some restrictions apply**.


Each MCSP bundle is tailored for a specific Motorola device. When purchasing MCSP coverage, make sure to select the bundle that matches the name of your device.

Currently, the MCSP bundle can only be purchased from Motorola-authorized partner Salom, through Amazon.


The standard manufacturer’s warranty provides limited protection for your smartphone. The MCSP bundle provides specific, extended coverage for the functionality and structural integrity of the screen itself – the smartphone component most vulnerable to being damaged.

The Motorola case and screen protector purchased with your MCSP bundle are designed to protect your device in tandem. Bundled together with MCSP coverage, the case and screen protector ensure armored protection for your device, day and night. Should either the case or screen protector fail to do its job, you’re still covered by MCSP.

Your smartphone will be secured by the Motorola case and screen protector provided in your MCSP bundle. Such Motorola case and screen protector will be secured by MCSP. Your peace of mind will be secured by the bundle.


Screen protection extends beyond the screen area to the entire body of the device. Damage to the back of a smartphone can also damage its screen. MCSP coverage only applies when the Motorola screen protector is used in tandem with the case provided in the MCSP bundle.

Without the case, the screen protector offers only partial screen protection. The MCSP bundle exists to provide users with maximum protection of their smartphone against damage – and such protection requires consistent use of the case and screen protector together.


Included with your MCSP bundle is a registration card. For MCSP coverage to take effect, upon purchase your bundle must be registered for activation with Motorola.

Part of the registration process is a simple diagnostic test you can run on your smartphone. This test verifies the normal working condition of your screen’s hardware at the time of MCSP bundle purchase. It only takes a few minutes, and the steps are easy to follow.

Because the Motorola case and screen protector included in your MCSP bundle are designed to protect your phone screen from accidental (or incidental) damage, the working condition of your screen must be demonstrated prior to activation of MCSP coverage. If your screen is found to be damaged or nonfunctional prior to bundle activation, your device may not be eligible for MCSP coverage.

In fewer words: your smartphone screen must be in normal working condition to qualify for MCSP warranty coverage. A quick and easy diagnostic test completes your registration.


The MCSP bundle provides coverage for select 2021-2022 Motorola smartphones. As long as your device passes the diagnostic test upon registration of the bundle, verifying the functional working condition of the screen, it’s eligible for MCSP coverage.

If the screen of your registered device is damaged during normal use while protected by the Motorola case and screen protector purchased with your MCSP bundle, Motorola will repair or replace the screen at no charge. If the screen is not repairable, Motorola will replace it with a new device. Some restrictions apply**.

If just the Motorola case or screen protector contained in the MCSP bundle breaks, you can contact customer support by email at support.us@motorolachargers.com or by phone at 1-888-212-3511.

If the device screen itself breaks (while protected by the Motorola case and screen protector purchased with your MCSP bundle), please go to https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/app/mcp/service and fill out a repair request form. Then, follow the provided directions for mailing in your device. Upon receipt of your device, Motorola will determine whether the damaged screen can be repaired or if it needs to be replaced.

If the damaged screen is determined to be beyond repair, device replacement may be necessary (at Motorola’s discretion). Please remember to back up all data stored on your device before sending it in for repair/replacement.


Cancel at any time, for any reason. If you cancel within 30 days of purchasing the MCSP bundle, Motorola will give you a full refund.

While you may cancel enrollment in MCSP at any time, your refund eligibility ends 30 days after bundle purchase. Terms and conditions apply**.
